Simon Porte Jacquemus founded his eponymous label at the young age of 19, injecting renewed energy into the Parisian fashion scene with his deconstructed, surreal, and often risqué collections. He moved from the Provence countryside to Paris in pursuit of his dream, and his work experience at a Comme des Garçons boutique helped garner support from industry heavyweight Rei Kawakubo, propelling his brand into the spotlight. Jacquemus expanded his offerings to include a footwear line alongside womenswear in 2017, followed by the launch of menswear in 2019. His designs exude a youthful and liberated essence, frequently featuring asymmetrical cuts, exaggerated stiff shapes, and unconventional forms as the focal point.
